Spirit Pool est une performance audiovisuelle créée dans le cadre de la Nuit Blanche 2018. Six heures durant, trois figures organiques, trois dispositifs de projection, trois corps existent comme un monde à part entière. Des corps confrontés à un univers mouvant, un espace de jeu, d’improvisation et de création d’où survient une réalité intermédiaire. Cette piscine virtuelle prend dès lors les attributs d’un lieu sacré, d’un objet matriciel comme réceptacle où les figures tentent de s’extirper du réel grâce à l’hybridation de différentes formes d’expression artistique. Cette écriture en création perpétuelle interroge notre condition et révèle notre besoin inexorable de créer des images, comme acte de résistance face à l’absurdité du monde. Inspirée d’une séquence du film Les Oeillets, court métrage réalisé en 2017, cette proposition offre l’expérience d’un temps dilaté, une contemplation, celle de l’instant de basculement où le corps s’abandonne au sommeil.
Spirit Pool is an audiovisual performance created as part of Nuit Blanche 2018. Six hours lasting, three organic figures, three projection devices, three bodies exist like the whole world. Bodies confronted with a moving universe, a space of play, improvisation and creation from which arises an intermediate reality. This virtual pool therefore takes on the attributes of a sacred place, of a matrix object as a receptacle where the figures attempt to extricate themselves from reality through the hybridization of different forms of artistic expression. This writing in perpetual creation questions our condition and reveals our inexorable need to create images, as an act of resistance in the face of the absurdity of the world. Inspired by a sequence from the film Les Oeillets, a short film made in 2017, this proposal offers the experience of dilated time, a contemplation, that of the moment of tilting where the body surrenders to sleep.
